Hello to all post 2513 members.
My name is Howard Good and i am our new commander coming on board.
This has been a tough year so far for everyone but things are improving now.
Here is what we have going on. We have tickets in for our rifle raffle for this season. This will be for a bolt action 556/223 Ruger American Ranch Rifle. $10 per ticket, no limit on number of tickets per person. Money raised from this will be going into our building fund.
We will be forming a building committee at next meeting. We are going to start improving our post property for us and our scouts. Have plans to build trail around the lake starting with clearing off brush on the dam. We are also going to develop a plan to build a pavilion that we can use for outside events and for our scout’s use. We will gather input and design and i plan to have the concrete slab in by fall.
We will be setting a workday for starting dam clean-up also at next meeting. Will have rifle on display also at next meeting.
We will also be discussing some security issues for the post.

My theme while commander is to continue our outreach to help our vets secure their benefits, promote community involvement program, and especially begin working to improve our post and post grounds for the future of the post.
Through fund raising and grants available to us, I have no doubt that we can accomplish these goals.
I will release updates as we progress.
