Our post membership has been boosted to 153, and we have some events coming up.
Oct. 17, Meeting Night
On Oct. 27, please join us at the Homecoming Parade. We will meet at the American Legion, 733 E. Young to travel together to UCM.
Nov. 10, Lifelong Learning Veteran Day presentation by Commander Teresa Shane
Nov. 11 Veterans Day events at American Legion, 11 a.m.
and Veterans Home, 3 p.m.
Nov. 16, Turkey Bingo, 618 Lakeview Drive. Major fundraiser for post.
Nov. 17, Plans in place for a holiday get together at Whiteman AFB.
Meetings are Nov. 7.
Our post has donated $200 to VFW Disaster Relief Fund for Hurricane Florence victims.
Received a Community Service Grant for $1,000 in equipment to the Warrensburg Police Department
Our members have helped at Camp Valor, CropWalk and Meals on Wheels.
We also are the first chartering organization of a Girl’s Scout Troop under the Scouting USA auspices.
